Terms of Service

The rules for using Vorthix and XOR-1, in plain structure. Read §3 closely: it exists because of what the Service does.

§1

Your agreement with Vorthix

By creating an account, submitting a codebase, or otherwise using the Service, you accept these Terms.

What it covers

These Terms govern Vorthix’s website, products and services, including our core product XOR-1. Provided by Vorthix.

Signing up for a company?

You confirm that you have authority to bind that company to these Terms.

Don’t agree?

Then do not use the Service. There is no partial acceptance.

§2

A research tool, not a verdict

XOR-1 is AI-driven, autonomous security research software that analyzes source code for potential vulnerabilities.

You submit code

Source code you own or are authorized to test.

XOR-1 analyzes

Findings are produced as potential vulnerabilities.

A professional reviews

A qualified security professional verifies findings before they are treated as confirmed.

Authorized use only

This is the section that matters most, because of what the Service does. Try the checker, then read the commitments.

Pick a scenario

Select what you plan to submit. We’ll show whether the Terms permit it, and why.

Your commitments
  • Only submit what you own, or what you are explicitly authorized in writing to test.
  • You verify authorization. Vorthix does not verify ownership or authorization on your behalf.
  • No unauthorized targets: competitors, systems accessed without permission, anything out of scope.
  • You are solely liable for unauthorized use and must indemnify Vorthix (§12).
Consequence

Immediate termination, no refund

A violation of this section is grounds for immediate termination of your account without refund.

Accounts & acceptable use

You are responsible for your account, and for how the Service is used through it.

Your account duties
  • Provide accurate and complete information.
  • Keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Promptly report suspected unauthorized access to security@vorthix.com.
You agree not to
  • Use the Service unlawfully.
  • Test any system without proper authorization (§3).
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or extract our methodology, models or source code, beyond what law expressly permits.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service as your own without a separate written agreement.
  • Disrupt the Service or try to gain unauthorized access.
  • Use it to build a directly competing product.

Who owns what

Your code stays yours. Our platform stays ours. Findings about your code are confidential to you.

Your Content

You retain all ownership of the source code, data and materials you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to access, process and analyze it solely to provide the Service to you.

Our platform

Vorthix retains all rights in the Service: XOR-1, its technology, methodology, software and trademarks.

Findings

Vulnerability findings generated from your content are provided to you and treated as confidential to your engagement, as described on our Security page.

In plain EnglishEach side keeps the other’s confidential information private. We will not disclose your code or findings to third parties without your written consent, unless the law requires it.

No guarantee of completeness

Security research, whether by humans or AI, cannot offer an absolute guarantee.

No finding does not mean no vulnerability. Vorthix does not guarantee the Service will identify all vulnerabilities, or that a system is free of them because nothing was reported.

A tool, not a program

The Service assists your efforts. It does not replace a comprehensive security program.

Verify first

Independently verify findings before remediation or disclosure decisions.

“As is”

Provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranty that it is uninterrupted, error-free, or that every finding is complete and accurate.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. VORTHIX DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY FINDING IT PRODUCES IS COMPLETE OR ACCURATE IN EVERY CASE.
§9

Fees & payment

Fees depend on the scope of each engagement. There is no fixed price list.

Per engagement

Fees are set for each engagement, based on its scope. Invoicing: we agree a written quote before work starts and invoice on milestones or at completion, payable within 14 days. Refunds: fees for completed work are non-refundable, and fees for work that has not started are refunded in full. Late payment: we may pause work on overdue invoices until payment is received.

Liability & indemnification

Who bears the risk if something goes wrong.

Liability cap

Capped at fees paid in the last 12 months

To the maximum extent the law allows, Vorthix is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunity.

You indemnify Vorthix for
  • (a) your breach of these Terms,
  • (b) your violation of §3 (Authorized Use Only),
  • (c) your violation of any law in connection with your use.

This includes reasonable legal fees.

In plain EnglishIf you test something you weren’t authorized to test, the resulting claims are yours to cover, not ours.
§13

Ending the agreement

You can leave at any time. We can act if the rules are broken.

You may

Stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

We may

Suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, especially §3 or §5.

After termination your right to use the Service ends immediately. These clauses survive:

Changes, law & contact

Changes

We post updated Terms here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use means acceptance. For material changes we give extra notice where practicable.

Governing law

Governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes go to the courts of Delaware, United States, unless agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement.
